Why did we start this?
Swiss Travel Ideas exists to share insider routes, hidden villages, and seasonal tips from people who actually live here, so you can explore Switzerland respectfully, sustainably, and far beyond the usual postcard stops.

Local Experts
L – married to a native Swiss and eager to explore all Switzerland has to offer!
I first moved to Switzerland in 2019, living in the French-speaking part, specifically the city of Lausanne. Soon afterwards I met my future husband and we moved to his home town of Bern and adopted two cats. Since then we married in the beautiful mountains of the Bernese Oberland, in Wengen by the Lauterbrunnen Valley, and legally in Schloss Spiez. We started a family and still have a lot more to discover!

Commitments
We collaborate with local businesses, regional tourism boards, and eco-certified partners to highlight train-first itineraries, lesser-known valleys, and experiences that support Swiss communities while protecting the mountains, lakes, and traditions you’ve come to enjoy.
